Your sessions live in the most private moments of your day, and we treat the data that makes them possible accordingly. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Account data: your name, email, and encrypted password. For hypnotists: your voice recording, which is sent to ElevenLabs to create your voice model, and your practice details (title, price, method notes). For clients: your intake answers, session topics, pre-session reflections, and session ratings — used solely to personalize your sessions and journey.
Session topics and profile answers are processed by AI providers to create your audio. Our processors are: OpenAI (script writing and psychological analysis), ElevenLabs (voice cloning and speech synthesis), and our database and hosting providers (encrypted storage of accounts, profiles, and session records). Your data is never sold, and never used to advertise to you. Your hypnotist can see your session activity (dates, counts, and ratings), but not your private intake answers.
A hypnotist's voice model is used exclusively to generate sessions for their own clients. Hypnotists can request deletion of their voice model and recordings at any time, and deletion of a Somnus account removes the associated voice model.
You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by contacting support. Deleting your account removes your profile, intake answers, and session history.
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted in transit, and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
